Because the health crisis brought the economy to a screeching halt, many are feeling a personal financial crisis. James Bullard, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, explained that the government is trying to find ways to assist those who have lost their jobs and the companies which were forced to close (think: your neighborhood restaurant). In a recent interview he said:

“This is a planned, organized partial shutdown of the U.S. economy in the second quarter. The overall goal is to keep everyone, households and businesses, whole.”

Jefferson ParkWhitewater Creek Trail Open

Jefferson Park, located on the north side of Mt. Jefferson, Oregon's second tallest Cascade mountain, is a hidden gem with stunning views, pristine alpine lakes, and beautiful meadows full of wildflowers during the mid summer months. Hunting Lodge in Pronghorn

Huntington Lodge, Pronghorn's long anticipated newest overnight lodging option, is opening soon. We were fortunate to experience the 104 room lodge prior to its grand opening in an invitation only soft opening as they work out the bugs.

How Will State Wide Rent Control Impact Rentals?

For Rent

Oregon has the distinction of becoming the first state in the United States to pass state wide rent control. California attempted to do this last fall, but it failed at the ballot box. Several large American cities, such as New York, have rent control laws, but no state until now.

There is an exception to this last - for those tenants who receive three lease violations within a 12 month period and the landlord provides them written notice within 90 days.

How this new law will
