After hearing about a new taco shop on the westside, we had to go check it out. Our initial reservation was easily changed after having a great talk with the cashier - a Southerner who had moved to Bend Oregon for the lifestyle and change from the American South.

After perusing the menu, it was decided that 1) We needed to try the margaritas, because it was a very warm day outside. And 2) The El Pastor taco was a must, and came highly recommended by our new friend.

The result? A great outdoor patio experience! While this location appears close to Century drive, the shrubbery and trees truly block out any loud road noises. We were able to have a great conversation, at a normal decibel level.

The margaritas were refreshing, and for the

Is summer here already?! This weekend is going to be HOT HOT HOT! And You know what that means…WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM!.. or gelato, we’re not super picky. Here are our two recommendations for a tasty cool treat this weekend:

Bonta, a Bend local artisan Gelato shop is open for take out and delivery. Don’t sweat this weekend without a cool sweet treat. They’re offering scooped cups, pints, half gallons and gelato cookie sandwiches. We’d recommend getting stocking up with their 3 for $20 deal-which includes free delivery, you don’t even have leave the house! Off their flavor menu our current favorites are of course the Dulce de Leche with Sea Salt, Stracciatella, and Tumalo Lavender and Honey. Looking for a different flavor? Go check out their menu

Each week Bend Premier Real Estate is adopting a local restaurant and this week we are featuring Bend Burger Company just in time for May's Burger Month! We had the opportunity to try two of their fabulous burgers and sides for lunch yesterday and the quality did not disappoint! Bend Burger Company is not "fast food", but rather some of the tastiest and freshest burgers in Bend.

We ordered a Broken Top Hamburger which featured clue cheese and bacon with a side of sweet potato tater tots as well as a Deschutes River Hamburger which featured ham, pineapple, teriyaki sauce and a side of hand cut french fires. Both burgers were cooked for perfection and offered large portions that could easily be shared.

Thank you Bend Burger Company for the

Fix & Repeat Has Delicious Plant Based Food

Fix & Repeat

Culture is a paramount piece of the Central Oregon community. During this temporary shut down it may feel like our community is losing its culture, but this situation is just challenging us to build something new. Here at Bend Premier Real Estate, we see the affects that COVID-19 is having on our community and we’ve decided to take this culture challenge and turn it into a platform to build upon.

What is Central Oregon Culture? While this is different for each individual, we think it is safe to say that collectively we love our outdoors and being active. And with the weather turning in our favor, most of us are getting outside to bike, hike, run, and explore. But we know that the first few rides,

Joolz Offers Mideastern and Southwestern Food

Joolz

A Downtown Bend fixture for many years, Joolz markets themselves "Where the Middle East Meets the Wild West".  Their blend of Middle East cuisine with Southwestern overtones creates a great dining experience that has been popular to Bendites for some time.

As part of Bend Premier Real Estate's Adopt a Bend Oregon Restaurant during the Covid-19 pandemic, we ordered two takeout meals from Joolz last evening.  We had Oregon Beef Shawarma featuring rubbed Oregon beef, grilled onions, hummus, tabbouleh, Armenian pickles and grilled naan. We also had Chicken Kabobs over rice with grilled vegetables.  Both meals were excellent and very filling. Dessert was not an option for either of us.

Miyagi Ramen Has Great Food at Great Prices

Miyagi RamenIn our ongoing effort to support local restaurants which are struggling during the Covid-19 restrictions, Bend Premier Real Estate Brokers are focusing on Miyagi Ramen this week.

Located in the Box Factory on Industrial Way near the Old Mill Shopping Center in Bend, we purchased the Black Sesame Dan Dan (spicy minced pork, baby bok choy, cilantro, lime and fermented black bean) and the Tonkotsu (chashu pork belly, nori, pickled burdock root, bamboo shoot, soft egg, scallion) and an order of Tempura Miatake Mushroom steamed buns (two per order).  For a price of $33, we were totally satisfied and felt our meal was well priced and delicious. The to-go service was ready right when I arrived to pick up our

Lone Pine CoffeeNeed a Caffeine Fix Today?

During this quarantine it is essential to practice CDC safety guidelines, but does that mean your coffee options are restricted? Definitely NOT! Below are a few coffee establishments in Bend that are still open for take-out and bean orders. Help support local businesses during this chaotic time, and also feed your caffeine needs.

Lone Pine Roasters*

Also a shout out to Lone Pine Roasters! I recently purchased a bag of their Ethiopian Suke Quto beans. After brewing this coffee today, I can attest to the quality of this roastery. The Ethiopian beans were bursting with aromas of stone fruits and citrus, and the final product was gorgeous. Bright peach notes, with some honey, and a baking spice finish; definitely a great

Bend Restaurants Need Our Support

Bend Oregon Restaurants

We love Bend! Part of the Bend culture is the variety of places to eat and socialize. With all of Bend's restaurants shut down and only open for take out due to Covid-19 restrictions, we need to support them however possible.  Each week Bend Premier Real Estate brokers are adopting a new restaurant and we invite you go join us.  It takes a lot of food sales just to pay the rent. This week we are supporting Chomp Chomp in downtown Bend.

We ordered "Our Ramen" which was fabulous with garlic baby bok choy, nori, oyster mushroom, a soft boiled egg, chicken (we substituted chicken for pork belly) and scallions. Our second order was "All Mighty Gyudon" which was thinly sliced sirloin over rice with stewed onions,

Great To Go Food in Bend Oregon

If you are anything like us, we have been very sad about not being able to go out to our favorite restaurants during this quarantine. However, this just means we have been changing our focus from dine-in opportunities to the best "To Go" locations in Band! Last week we had the opportunity to try Cody's Catering and for anyone looking for a lot of great BBQ at a fantastic price, this is a must try!

Currently through the end of April, Cody's is offering a special where you can buy one dinner for 4 hot and get a second "easy to heat up" dinner for 4 for half price! For a total of $46 we got enough food for about 4 meals for the two of us. Well of course this was exactly the kind of To Go bargain we were hunting for and
