Maggie Henry Broker

Maggie Henry began buying and selling real estate at a young age. “I bought my first piece of land when I was 18,” says Maggie, who was inspired by her grandfather, the largest landholder in N.W. Georgia. “Then I sold it to move up to larger plot a year later.”

Maggie has been parlaying that talent for real estate ever since.

“Whether my clients are buying or selling real estate,” says Maggie, “I’m always representing them in an educated, forthright manner, providing them with all the information they need to make informed decisions.”

A move to San Diego in 1979, with her figure skating coaches, continued to pave the way for Maggie’s business acumen. There, she garnered a BA degree from Palomar College, prior to becoming a buyer for Neiman Marcus and Golden Door Health Spa.

When her daughter was born, Maggie wanted to provide her with the same joys she experienced while growing up on the Ranch in N.E. Georgia. “I did my research,” says Maggie, “traveling in 1992 to Utah, Wyoming, Washington, and finally to Oregon, which I knew immediately was home.”

In the winter of 1997, Maggie began working as a Construction Specialist – a type of liaison between builder and client - for Jeld-Wen, Inc. She thrived in the work, helping clients to choose plots and customize stock plans with finishes that best suited their lifestyle. In 2000, Maggie became a successful New Construction and Land Sales Specialist for Brooks Resources & Development, working through 2007.

Maggie founded BlackRock Construction in 2004, with her husband Terry, and put her knowledge of construction to work for their clients, teaching them to recognize quality construction, great properties, and beautiful custom homes.

“I’ve even been able to choose homes and properties for clients who are unable to make it to Bend to make an offer.

Most of all I enjoy helping my clients achieve their goals whether buying or selling.”

"The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him, he's always doing both."
